25 Days Out

Hello all! It's been a long time since I've been on the blog- but I'm back! Jeremiah & I are 25 days away from being married! Eek, so exciting!

In a short recap: I attended Jeremiah's graduation on May 7th, then he came back with us. My graduation was May 14th- he attended that, duh! After getting graduations out of the way, we've been in full wedding planning mode! We had some engagement pictures taken just yesterday & will hopefully get them back in time for the shower (which is May 28th).

We've been looking at some apartment decor & trying to decide on what colors we want to paint the walls! Both of us are getting really excited about getting married & moving in together.

In the meantime- I had another kidney stone attack...just last night. Yuck. I wasn't near as bad as the first time, but it was pretty intense. I ended up going to the Emergency Room around 2:30am then didn't get home until about 6:30am. Jeremiah met us at the E.R. then came back to my house since it was daylight. We stopped & got McDonald's then passed out until 2 this afternoon.

I'll recap mine & Jeremiah's reunion quickly:
We got to the airport about 2pm, Jeremiah met us there (I traveled with his mom, sister & step-dad). We grabbed our bags then headed to get our rental car. We got the rental car, but I rode with Jeremiah because he had his own car at the airport. Might I add- it was pouring the rain all afternoon. After getting our rental car, we headed to the hotel. We hung out there for a bit then Jeremiah left to pick up his dad from the airport- then took him to his hotel. We met Jeremiah at a Japanese restaurant for dinner then he took me to get donuts. Which was a fail- because the line was so long & it was cold outside so we ditched it & he just drove me around showing me his schooling & stuff. He took me back to my hotel then went back to his dad's hotel for the night. And boom, that was it.

I don't have much more to say, other than the wedding is approaching quickly & I've got tons to do! Hopefully, I'll manage another post before then!

Our Engagement Story!

That's right, it happened- Jeremiah & I are ENGAGED! Yay!! We officially became engaged on January 11th, 2016 & here's how it all went down!

So technically, January 11th was my first day back to school- I had afternoon clinic, with a patient scheduled 1pm. I got to school slightly early because I had some things on campus to take care of & had to pick up a new name tag in town (because I somehow lost mine). I got all that done & went in my hall to get ready for clinic & eat somewhat of a lunch before I set up. I had been on the phone pretty much all morning complaining to my school friend (Brandi) about financial aid & a bunch of other school nonsense. She said she was almost at school so I went ahead & got my things together to set up my unit.

During set up, around 12:30ish, I saw one of my instructors & some other girls talking- so of course I ran up there & talked for a few (little did I know I was ruining the planl). After some short convo, I headed back to my unit. Then about 12:40 one of my regular teachers came in & said there was a call for me in reception, I asked who it was & she said, "I don't know, some man." I'm thinking what the heck, who could that be? What patient would be calling me? Then she made me take my gown & other PPE off- which is weird because we can wear that stuff into reception- I'm thinking what new rule is there that I can't wear my PPE into reception!? Or maybe my patient was in reception & she didn't want me wearing all my PPE? What. I was so confused at this point but I followed her.

I walked into reception & my friend Brandi handed me the phone- I kept saying "hello?" but no one was there. She hung it up & was like maybe they'll call back- but I was so lost, I kept picking it back up. Then, finally I turned around & saw Jeremiah standing behind the door! I got so scared! After a few seconds, I had an idea of what was going on (we'd been talking about getting engaged, & we both graduate in May- so I was hoping it would happen while he was home for Christmas break).

Then he made an adorable & sweet speech about how we'd been together for 7 years & did I want to make it 7 & a bunch more. Then he got down on one knee & asked if I'd marry him & (duh) I said yes!

It was such a surprise! We hugged & kissed for a few minutes then I had to get back to clinic & he headed back home. I was on cloud 50 billion for the rest of the day. I am still somewhat in shock- we've been talking about getting married for a while now, but now it's really going to happen & I just can't believe it!

Please ignore the fact that my hand looks so dry & red, I'd washed it 4 times before this & had gloves on. Aren't my rings gorgeous!? Jeremiah said he got the band as an "enhancement ring"- not a bridal ring, because he wanted something to go with the actual engagement ring, so I can wear it now. Then, when we get married I'll get another band!

Now I'll tell you how Jeremiah pulled it all off. He texted Brandi on Friday & told her he wanted to do the engagement at school- where I'd least expect it. So, Sunday night he texted her & said it was still a go. Monday morning he got up pretty early & was ready to leave but he said I wasn't far enough ahead of him- so he laid around before leaving to give me time to get closer to school.

Once he got to my school he texted Brandi & she had the task of sneaking him in. My other friend, Tammy, had the job of making sure I stayed in the clinic. (Remember how I said I ruined the plan by going to talk to everyone?)- they were talking about how they were going to sneak Jeremiah in without me knowing & I just wouldn't go away. My instructor had decided she wanted to video it for me & my other teacher had taken the role of getting me to the reception room. So basically Brandi got him inside & told everyone to pretend he wasn't here so I would have no idea. Then everything fell into place & we got engaged!

And let me say, it was a success. I was so surprised!! Jeremiah did an amazing job & I had no idea any of it was going to happen. Unfortunately, he went back to school last Saturday (January 16th), but I'm hoping he can come in for Spring Break in March.

I hope you all enjoyed our engagement story, I know I'm gonna love going back & reading it in the future! Now to start wedding planning

7 Year Anniversary Recap!

That's right people, Jeremiah & I celebrated our seventh dating anniversary last Wednesday! We started off the day by running errands & having lunch at Jeremiah's dad's office. We both got take out pizzas, from a local pizza place that we looove. After we ate, Jeremiah decided we really needed to get going!

We drove about two hours from our town to play a small Par III golf course. But it definitely took us a lot longer to get there, because the directions to the place were very poor & we didn't think we'd ever find it! Once located, we got to playing- I'm not very good, but it was still really fun. After golfing we headed back towards our town but stopped about half way to eat at a local burger place. I was pretty disappointed because the food wasn't great. The bread was really weird, which ruined my grilled cheese. Down the street was a well-known bakery that I've been wanting to visit- so we decided to have desert there! I got a red velvet cake & Jeremiah got cheesecake. He claimed it was "the best cheesecake he'd ever had"!

To finish the evening off we played mini-golf & Jeremiah barely beat me! We had planned on going to a movie afterwards, but decided we'd rather skip it & head back to my house to just watch a movie there. We got back to my house & my sister's new laptop had come in, so Jeremiah worked on getting all her programs installed. While things were downloading we started a movie, "LA Confidential". Things finally finished on her computer & so did our movie, which I actually really liked. Then I took Jeremiah back to his car at his dad's office & we called it a day. It was a pretty busy day, but it was really fun. It combined things we both loved!

A really good day

Long time no see, friends! I know it's been literally months since I've done a post but things have been crazy! I didn't get out of school for summer break until July 2nd, & since then Jeremiah & I have just been enjoying our time together. Yesterday was a really good day, so I figured I'd do a little post on it just for memories sake

The day started off pretty late, Jeremiah hadn't gotten to sleep in late in several days so I made sure not to call or text him until he got up. After he finally woke up, he went to our local hospital to get us some lunch. On Thursdays they make really good wraps, & I was craving one! He finally got here after getting the lunch & we ate downstairs. We came upstairs & were so lazy all day. I watched LifeTime movies while he got some computer work done.

Later in the evening, we decided to eat dinner at our local Italian restaurant. I got a little pizza & Jeremiah got cheese ravioli! It was a really good dinner. We decided on our date we'd refrain from using our phones the entire time, & it was fun! To occupy our time we played paper football with the sugar packets until his salad came (he won, of course).

Afterwards we went to Wal-Mart to get supplies for making homemade ice cream! We got all our goodies then headed back to my house to make some ice cream! We decided to have a competition & see who's ended up being better, so we each made our own. I made chocolate & Jeremiah made strawberry. Just from us tasting our batter, they both seemed like they're gonna be delicious! I'll link the recipes here and here. I cleaned up the kitchen while Jeremiah ran upstairs to turn on the Republican debate. I finally joined him & we watched the entire debate! Right near the end we tried to eat our ice cream, but it needed to chill a lot longer. When the debate ended, Jeremiah headed home & I called it a night.

We still haven't tried our ice cream, he has a golf tournament today- so I promised I'd wait so we could try them together & determine which one is better. It was just such a relaxing, chill day- something we needed- & was really enjoyable.

I head back to school on the 24th & Jeremiah leaves on the 30th. This is our last year apart! It's so exciting, yet so upsetting that he's leaving already! I'll try to recap a few more things before he heads back to school. Our anniversary is next Wednesday, so I've been working on a gift for Jeremiah! Hopefully it works out well & we can find something to do that day!

Hope your summer has been warm & sunny!

Our Latest Reunion

This post is from May 10th, 2015- for some reason it was never posted! So here it is!

As you all know, Jeremiah got home last Saturday- which means I'm a week late... But better late than never!

On Saturday I had to be at school at 7am to help with senior boards. I did that until about 1 or so, then headed to get ready to pick up Jeremiah (I had worn scrubs that day & wanted to change). I went to my car & put my makeup on then got some lunch from Wendy's. When I got back to school I changed out my scrubs then headed back to my car to study. I had a Pathology final on Monday, so I was trying to squeeze in any extra study time I could! When I came close to time to leave, I got some gas then headed out.

It took me about two hours to get there, maybe longer- seeing as how I missed about three of my turns because of traffic. But I finally got to the airport & parked in the one hour parking lot then headed inside to the baggage claim area. I checked to see where Jeremiah's luggage would come to & then waited in that area.

He finally texted me & said he'd just landed then that he was on his way. I was so excited! A few minutes later k glanced over at the escalators & there he was coming down! Yay! After we hugged & kissed we checked the board again for where his luggage would come to. We ended up waiting about thirty minutes before it finally came out. We grabbed all his bags then went back to the car.

After we left the airport we were both hungry. We were going to eat hibachi at a a place Jeremiah always goes when he's in that area but it was closed down. So we drove to the next town & ate there. It was good, but there was so much of it & neither of us could even halfway finish.

We then headed home, with a few stops for gas & drinks. We didn't get home until 2am! The airport this time was about four hours from our town, so it made for a very long day. I met Jeremiah's dad so he could take him home. Then I went home & passed out.

I'm so excited that Jeremiah is home & I can't wait to spend time with him! Although I have summer classes we'll still get plenty of time together.

Hope you're all having a great Mother's Day!!

So I know it's been a while...

I know, worst blogger award goes to me. I can't help it, I've been so busy this semester I can hardly tie my own shoes! But I figured I'd do a super quick update.

Jeremiah will be home Saturday (May 2nd)- whoooo! Just four more days & I can barely contain myself! I have a final this Thursday & have to be at school on Saturday for the senior's boards. So I'll be picking him up from the airport Saturday evening around 8. Kinda late, but so worth it. The following week I have three more finals then, a whole week off before summer semester starts. That's right, we go to school in the summer :( not the most exciting thing, but it's just for about 8 weeks so it's tolerable.

I can't believe my second semester of dental hygiene school is almost over. It's gone by even faster than the first. I'm finally seeing patients & learning so much. I can't wait to graduate & start my career.

I'll try to do an update Sunday after I pick up Jeremiah. I like to do those more for myself, so I can look back & remember all we did that day. Have a great Tuesday!!

Valentine's Day | 2015

Not gonna lie guys, this Valentine's Day was hard. I guess because it was on a weekend & all I had to do was sit around & whine about being away from Jeremiah- it made for a really long day. But I was really happy with what Jeremiah got me, so I thought I'd share.

Technically, I got my gifts on Thursday (February 12th) & opened them then- but they were still for Valentine's Day. My mom had already opened one of them because she thought it was something else I was expecting & had asked her to open it. So when I got home, one was on the counter & I opened it first. Inside were these really cool Jelly Beans. I mean really, really cool. They're called Bean Boozled & they're so fun, & so good & so gross, all at the same time! Jeremiah bought two boxes & had them both shipped to me, but I sent him one box back so he could play, too!

The game is, you spin the little wheel & it tells you which bean to eat- the catch is the gross ones & the yummy ones look the same! So you don't know if you'll be getting Licorice or Skunk Spray! Talk about nerve racking! There are a ton of different flavors, which makes it fun, too! My whole family & I have been playing this & it's hilarious!

Then, my sister said, "I took your poop emoji out of the bag! It's cute!". I responded with, "Thanks, that was my Valentine's Day gift & I didn't know what it was." She was like, "Oops". Oh well, so I went upstairs to check out my emoji. Jeremiah knows me all too well- this thing was super cute! And way softer than I expected! I seriously love this little poop emoji!

Like I said, this year was hard- but I made it through. I loved my gifts from Jeremiah & thought they were really creative & super sweet. I'm counting down the days until Jeremiah is home (74 days)! I hope you all had a loving Valentine's Day!
